Embracing this festival of food communities and personalities from around the globe is the Philippine delegation as organized by CITEM in cooperation with regional and overseas partners. Composed of 19 Filipino exhibitors – food MSMEs from across the nation will feature premium quality export products.

With the SIAL Paris 2024 theme of “Own the Change,” the Philippines takes this opportunity to learn more about the challenges facing the state of global food, while showing how the country is in tune with the market pulse for sustainable growth and circularity.

Now on its 60th anniversary, the biennial SIAL Paris continues to celebrate the latest food innovations and trends, established brands and product discoveries, and business opportunities as it brings together visitors and key movers from around the globe.

Discover this year’s SIAL Paris Philippine exhibitors carrying the FOODPhilippines banner in the Philippine Pavilion located at Hall 4 K190.

Expanding the reach of the country’s export offerings, CITEM is following through with its Outbound Business Mission (OBM) in The Hague, Netherlands and Brussels, Belgium.

The Philippine participation under the FOODPhilippines banner is featuring premium quality food and non-food products, all highlighting one of the country’s emerging superfoods, the Philippine Pili nut. The Philippine Pili tree and nut provide a host of benefits in food production, health and wellness, as well as essential and industrial applications. Bulk of the country’s pili nut is produced in the Bicol Region. Joining the pili nut producing companies are other exhibitors with processed fruit and cacao offerings.

European Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/267 issued in early February 2023 made it possible for the inclusion of dried pili nuts to the list of novel foods allowed in markets of European Union (EU) member states. This development opens new doors for local pili growers and exporters toward gaining more traction in foreign markets as enhancements in export production capabilities for this sector take more prominence in the Philippines.
